USGBC Names its 2015 Board of Directors

The new executive committee includes Marge Anderson, George Bandy, Fiona Cousins, Lisa Matthiessen, and Stuart Carron.

Today, the U.S. Green Building Council released a list of the newly elected and appointed members of its 2015 Board of Directors. The new additions represent a range of perspectives from across the green-building supply chain, including third-party product testing agencies, manufacturers, financing groups, and design practitioners.

Marge Anderson, currently serving as the USGBC’s chair-elect and environmental nonprofit advocate, will take over as chair of the board. Anderson is the executive vice president of the Energy Center of Wisconsin, and serves as a member on a number of other boards, including that of the New Buildings Institute. George Bandy, the vice president of sustainability at Interface, will become the USGBC’s immediate past chair, and Fiona Cousins, a principal at Arup, will serve as as chair-elect. Lisa Matthiessen, FAIA, a principal at Integral Group who currently serves as USGBC’s sustainable practice leader in architecture and design, will become the board’s secretary. Stuart Carron, founder and president of Energize Re, will continue his two-year term as treasurer.

The chair, chair-elect, and immediate past chair serve a one-year term each. The treasurer and secretary each serve two-year terms. All new terms become effective on Jan. 1, 2015.
