The Importance of Utilizing Natural Surroundings While Designing Homes

MW Works kept the Puget Sounds natural surroundings in mind while building this cabin.

For a recent project in Washington’s Puget Sound region that was built with climbers and campers in mind, architecture firm MW Works paid special attention to the area’s natural surroundings. Digital Trends staffer Rick Stella takes a look at the cabin designed by the firm which uses a color scheme, natural materials, and windows to help it become one with it’s natural environment.

Stella also mentions the residence’s best feature, its wooden roof:

If taking in a beautiful sunset from the living room’s bay windows seems like a relaxing way to spend an evening, just imagine that same sunset without a roof overhead.
