Tiles or Textiles: Digital Printing Technology Blurs the Line Between Materials

Tiles that look like carpets, tapestry, silk, and velvet continue to be popular in the marketplace—here are some of ARCHITECT's favorites.

Textiles in interior applications can add warmth and dimension to a room, but they can also collect dust, hold odors, fade, and stain easily. Advances in digital printing technology are making printed ceramic and porcelain tiles a viable alternative to heavy fabric applications for both residential and commercial wall and floor coverings.
