Thicker Cabinets from Minimal

A thicker veneer makes for stronger cabinets from this Italian design house.

Italian designer Minimal thickened the veneer on its cabinet doors to match the strength and look of solid wood. The 4-milimeter-thick surface layer—hefty enough for it to be used as a countertop, the company says—is available in a range of wood species and finishes to fit kitchens and bathrooms of all styles.
