Product: Tournesol Siteworks Twig

Created by the Australian design studio Street & Garden Furniture, the Twig modular seating system can be arranged in configurations that go beyond the typical geometric shapes formed by outdoor furniture and planters. This summer, Hayward, Calif.–based Tournesol Siteworks completed its first U.S.-installation of Twig at the University of California-Berkeley’s Anna Head Student Housing Complex. The bench is available in two materials: lightweight glass-fiber-reinforced concrete with a sealed finish or polyethylene with a sand texture. Measuring 96-1/2″ by 89-3/8″ in plan and 18″ square in section, the concrete bench weighs approximately 700 pounds, while the polyethylene bench—which can incorporate LED lighting—weighs 175 pounds. tournesolsiteworks.com
