Product: Surface Ombrae

Drawing from the art of bas-relief, Surface introduced Ombrae, a three-dimensional tiling system that creates small- or large-scale images using physical pixels angled at a specified gradient and direction. Any digital image or design can be created through stamping, casting, or machining—mysteriously, no pigments, paints, or dyes are required in the end result. Currently, Ombrae is offered in aluminum or Cor-Ten steel. • thesurfacegallery.com
