Acoustic Sheers, Designtex
Designed by Swiss textile designer Annette Douglas for Designtex, Acoustic Sheers drapery collection was developed using a computer model built by a team of scientists from the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology. Made from polyester yarns engineered for acoustical performance, this product line offers sound absorption without blocking natural light. When installed folded, the draperies will have noise reduction coefficient between 0.60 and 0.70. Acoustic Sheers performs best in mitigating sound frequencies of the human voice (from 500 to 2,000 hertz).
