Lighting and the Visual Environment for Senior Living RP-28-07, available from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America’s bookstore, covers topics such as loss of vision and sensitivity to glare in older adults; energy-efficient light sources, task lighting, controls, and daylighting; applications to homes, apartments, condominiums, and congregate housing; and the photobiological effects of lighting (e.g., the circadian system and vitamin D synthesis).
