Project Description
The aim of this project is to design a new high-quality student accommodation located in front of Milan University in the Bicocca area
The building is characterized by playful facade with variations of glazed white solid elements that reference the homogeneous context designed by Vittorio Gregotti.
The glass surfaces are used to highlight from outside the functions of internal building areas. The smaller sections were implemented for rooms and residences, while bigger ones were used to identify common shared areas on different floors.
The geometrical facade is “moving” thanks to splayed and skylight windows
The project offers a functional mix of rooms , creating in total 449 beds and it is spited in 18 storey.
Most of the common areas and shared services, like kitchens, study rooms, music room, bar are situated on the ground and basement floors. All these spaces are provided with natural light thanks to a beautiful courtyard
