The Modern Barn® is a collaboration between world-renowned architect, Alexander Gorlin, FAIA and Plum Builders, Inc. of East Hampton, New York. Mr. Gorlin was just recognized for the seventh time, as one of AD’s top 100.
Plum Builders, Inc. has been building custom homes since 1982. Al Giaquinto, President, is the creator of the Modern Barn® and it is his inspiration. Each Modern Barn® is different, based on the size and scope of the land available – and land here is at a premium. We are thrilled to create something new, something different, something inspired! The specialty marble imported from Italy, Connecticut stone, and use of glass in the Modern Barn® are meant to reflect nature, to bring the outdoors in and the indoors out.
