For a decade, the Marvin Architects Challenge has celebrated exceptional design and the exceptional talent behind them. Of the hundreds of projects submitted from around the country, our panel of architects selected a winner in each of six categories, including this year’s Contemporary Best in Show. Among the selections were the sustainable, the historical, the unconventional and, most of all, the inspirational.

Nestled seamlessly into its surroundings, the Pleated House presents a striking exterior facade of undulating charred wood, interspersed with windows by Marvin that harmonize with the home’s architecture.
