Project Description
This home architecture project is a house set in Newlands. It was designed to meet the client’s specific requirements. First, we made sure that the house takes full advantage of natural light in winter. Furthermore, we wanted it to remain cool in summer. It also had to relate to Kirstenbosch and the mountain behind it. A spine wall runs through the house. This organises the spaces and roofs accordingly, allowing natural light in to enhance the choice of organic materials. For example, timber, stone, and earth.
