Project Description
In late 2007, Ethos Workshop was selected from a group of our peers to lead the design effort for a multi-million dollar renovation of Cermak Plaza, a respected and highly successful retail shopping center in Chicago. Completed in 2010, our design offers a contemporary and distinctive appearance reminiscent of the center’s mid-century, artistic legacy.
With a ‘nod’ to the past, yet looking to the future, Cermak Plaza once again provides dynamic visibility to a long-established and very successful retailing destination. State-of-the-art LED technology provides dramatic color-changing life to the new canopy wing each night, while new, lighted marquee towers, raised parapets, and new signage areas create a more prominent and suitable facade for the center.
