Project Description
Central Park Conservancy called on Giant Containers to create a pop-up retail visitor center. With the park’s busiest retail location closed for restoration, Giant Containers offered a sustainable, temporary solution. The company supplied custom shipping containers to house a flexible space with floor to ceiling glass paneling. The custom container build provided flexibility in use and solutions for navigating how best to use the space. The pop-up location offers a convenient spot for visitors to have their questions answered by conservancy staff and purchase shirts, hats, tote bags, and other items.
“We’re thrilled to provide a solution for such an iconic organization, allowing them to navigate through the challenges of being accessible to the public throughout site restoration,” says Daniel Kroft, CEO of Giant Containers.
Daniel Kroft developed the company to be a leader in modular construction space across a variety of industries. His projects range from retail, to residential, commercial and industrial. Specifically, Giant Containers holds the intellectual property to a portfolio of design solutions for retail projects. Some projects include pop-up shops, retail spaces, backyard offices and emergency space for disaster relief. One of their biggest projects is the Stackt Market, which is the largest container-based commercial space in North America, located in Toronto. These purpose-built units allow Giant Containers to provide lightweight products with sustainable materials that ship globally.
