Project Description

FROM THE ARCHITECTS:

‘BARCELONA’ is a new gastronomic experience, embracing the Mediterranean from a remarkable vantage point. ‘BARCELONA’ is a prominent new mixed use development project of 18.000 sqm, located on the Mediterranean coast of Beirut, Lebanon. Commissioned by MC.SA Holding to BAD. Built by Associative Data http://bad.ar.com the project will feature food and beverage clustered development including restaurants, coffee shops, lounges and event spaces. Located at Ramlet El Bayda waterfront, the project derives inspiration from Barcelona city, in its materiality, tactility, and the relationship between space and gastronomical experiences. The project stretches longitudinally on the waterfront bay, in terraced layers of public realms overlooking the picturesque Mediterranean Sea. All project facilities have access points on the ground floor providing the arriving visitors a welcoming customized lobby space showcasing the varying restaurant identities. ‘BARCELONA’ is a creative interpretation of a social venue that does not lose the public identity as a profound driven design element within a successfully organized commercial development. It brings the signature of Barcelona’s intangible charm into Beirut’s new coastline public venue.
