Project Description
Located in downtown Minneapolis, this 30-story, mixed-use high rise includes ground level retail, 217 stalls of structured parking, and 262 luxury apartments.
A constraining, urban site required the team to create unique solutions: foundations were re-used from an existing parking structure as shoring; the building was shaped to accommodate construction equipment and hoists; unique cladding systems were developed for swift installation; and detailed building information modeling allowed close coordination of systems.
The design features an exoskeleton of precast concrete, glass, and metal panel – drawing on cues from some of its notable mid-century modernist neighbors. Amenities and a 360-degree roof deck are located on the top floor, allowing all residents to access the most valuable space in the building.
