If you love modern and contemporary design, are interested in prefab houses, and happen to be in the neighborhood of Santa Monica, Calif., later this week, stop by the Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Air Hangar for CA Boom V: The West Coast Design Show. From Friday, March 14 through Sunday, March 16, CA Boom will exhibit the latest in non-traditional, modern, and contemporary design and architecture.
Once again, the expo will highlight prefab buildings in The Prefab Zone, providing a unique opportunity to comparison shop a large group of experienced prefab designers who are ready to take orders and deliver houses. Modern prefab exhibitors include: Alchemy Arch/weeHouse, H-Haus, Lindal Cedar Homes, LivingHomes, Modern-Shed/Grey Design Studio, Rocio Romero, and Sander Architects Hybrid House.
CA Boom will also host “The Four Women of Prefab,” a panel discussion between architects Michelle Kaufmann, Jennifer Siegal, and Rocio Romero, moderated by Allison Arieff, former editor-in-chief of DWELL Magazine.
Though it is open to both the design trades and design-savvy consumers, CA Boom also offers a trade-only day from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on March 14.
