Kohler recently unveiled an interactive iPad application for consumers and design pros to search, select, and view the company’s kitchen and bath products in a room. Users can take photos of an existing kitchen or upload renderings and place Kohler appliances and fixtures into the scene. The app also includes completed bathroom designs and layouts that can be virtually toured, so users can visualize how products work together in a space.Once users have tried various combinations and selected favorites, they can save their created images and share them via email, Facebook, or Twitter. Another app feature is the Sample Box, which shows full-screen examples of color and finish options or allows side-by-side comparisons. An online catalog and QR scanning provide easy access to details, measurements, and other product specs. Videos and interactive articles about collections and innovations provide more information and possible inspiration.

The Kohler app for iPhone and other handheld mobile devices is slated for release later this year.
