2012 Lightfair Innovation Awards
The Lightfair Innovation Awards program kicked off the May 9 opening of the annual trade show, held this year in Las Vegas. The program received 228 lighting-related product submissions in 14 categories. The two categories with the most entries—"conventional lamps, retrofit/replacement LED lamps," and "controls, daylighting integration, building/site automation systems, power distribution systems"—foreshadowed the prevalence of these product types displayed on the trade show floor by many of the 500-plus exhibitors.
