Firm Description

Seoinn Design Group is an architecture design firm based in Seoul, Korea and was established by Architect, Dongkyu Choi on August 1978. Dongkyu Choi is the founder of the company and he has completed wide range of projects and specialized in the area of religious facilities with the growth of christian population in South Korea. The works of Seoinn Design Group were introduced in various media through times and they were recognized by prestigious architecture awards like KAA (Korea Architecture Award). Saemoonan Church (completed in 2019) was awarded for Architecture Masterprize in Guggenheim Bilbao, Spain in 2019 and Iconic Award in Munich, Germany 2020.
Dongkyu Choi is the principal architect of the Seoinn Design group and has over 45 years of experience. He is the licensed architect in Korea and the honorary member of Korean Institute of Architects. He teaches and lectures in Seoul National University and many other institutions.
Alex Yoocheol Choi, AAIA joined the Seoinn Design Group in 2010 and has worked in many award winning projects including Saemoonan Church. As the son of Dongkyu Choi, he wants to combine the legacy from 40 years of the company and his own insights based on experiences of cross border projects. He received the Master of Architecture in University of Pennsylvania and practiced in New York before joining Seoinn Design Group.
