Firm Description

Materia was founded in 2006 in Mexico City. The studio´s work is focused on the design of atmospheres grounded in the detailed craft of materials. The themes of light, surface, transition and light are the guiding axis of the practice.

Materia has acquired wide experience in residential, high-end retail, interiors, hospitality, public open spaces, restoration and office-type projects. Projects are located in more than 10 countries including Mexico, United States, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Brazil, Panama, Chile and the Caribbean.
