Allsteel Gather

Focusing on collaborative spaces, Allsteel’s Gather is a collection of seating, storage options, accessories, and tables with multiple functions. Linger, for example, is a lounge-type chair with a seat back that allows a second individual to lean against it or perch atop it, while Hedge is a vertical freestanding unit that can create a meeting hub while providing an upper ledge and secondary workspace for laptops or tablets. The surface edge of Hedge, as well as that on two other offerings, Belong and Transfer, can be specified in ShetkaStone, which is made up of 75 percent post-consumer newspaper and is recyclable at its end of life. Also included in the Gather collection, which was designed by IDa Design in consultation with HOK, is Rise (upholstered seating modules) and Sketch (a minimalist marker board).
