Resilient Flooring Information Portal Launched

1 MIN READ

The Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) has launched a new online resource for designers, architects, and facility managers. RFCI.com includes technical information on installation, maintenance, and removal of vinyl, linoleum, cork, and other resilient flooring types; a sustainability center with information on environmental impacts and corporate initiatives; and product photo galleries.

Also included on the site are RFCI’s Floor Score program and the new ANSI standard for Resilient Flooring. Floor Score identifies products that emit low levels of VOCs, and thus do not significantly harm indoor air quality. The portal provides direct links to more information about each manufacturer’s Floor Score-certified products.

NSF/ANSI 332, a new standard for evaluating the sustainability of resilient floor coverings, covers the entire lifecycle of a product, from design and manufacture to removal and disposal. Visit the “Sustainability Center” for answers to your FAQs on the new ANSI standard.
