Book Already revered for her seminal 1961 work The Death and Life of Great American Cities, Jane Jacobs takes the starring role in a new book, Wrestling With Moses, by former Boston Globe reporter Anthony Flint. Flint chronicles the battles in the ’60s between Jacobs, then a young journalist/activist, and the New York building czar Robert Moses over plans to raze the West Village and build the Lower Manhattan Expressway (neither succeeded).
