I.M. Pei

Today critics and clients alike celebrated architect I.M. Pei, FAIA‘s 100th birthday with digital and real-life tributes. Pei—recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, the AIA Gold Medal, and the RIBA Royal Gold Medal—has completed projects across the world during his decades-long career, including the National Center for Atmospheric Research, the National Gallery of Art East Building, the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library, the Everson Museum of Art, and the Louvre’s glass pyramid, which won the 2017 AIA Twenty-Five Year Award. We rounded-up a few of the birthday greetings posted to social media, below.
