Project Description

FROM THE ARCHITECTS:

The Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance will provide the opportunity to preserve historical evidence of the Holocaust and Educate about current topics such as Human Rights, prejudice, hatred and genocide in our increasingly complex world.

The project is located on two blocks in the historic West End District of downtown Dallas, Texas. The 50,000 square foot building will encompass permanent and traveling exhibition space, a performing arts auditorium, community lobby, reflection space, education spaces, library archives, administration offices, and a public plaza. OMNIPLAN’s design provides an expression and amplification of the narrative of a person’s journey thru the experience of the victims/survivors featured in the exhibition.
