Project Description

NOMO studio´s proposal for the Norway´s indoor pavilion at the Frankfurt Book Fair is inspired by the mystical Norwegian landscapes. The idea of the forest which both hides and reveals secrets is translated into the pavilion, giving the visitors the feeling that there is something more that hides in the space and inviting them to find it. A long wandering book table becomes a companion throughout the exhibition and serves as a tutor and a red thread, throughout the emerging different themed rooms. Each space has its unique characteristics, providing the visitors with a variety of experiences. The more time you spend in the pavilion, the more surprises you get. By leaving the ¨guiding path¨, you will find ¨secret¨ rooms that can be reached only if you go deeper into the woods. The entire exhibition can be installed and reused either as a whole or as smaller individual rooms that can be built up in different locations throughout the year. The construction consists of backlit white pipes that make the whole forest shine, but strong enough to get a comfortable light. The pavilion creates a mysterious, playful and modern ambient, where everyone would love to get lost for a while.
