Project Description
Transparency and equity were the core values that informed every aspect for the new School of International Service at American University. As a symbol of the school’s tradition of global service, the LEED Gold certified building provides a vibrant setting for teaching, research and public dialogue. The building features a multilevel, light-filled atrium which is the hub of this dynamic building. The concourse unites students, faculty, administration and staff in an energized shared commons, promoting transparency and face-to-face interaction.
Located on the University’s central quadrangle in a prominent location facing the surrounding urban neighborhood, the new state-of-the-art academic building frames an important entry point into the campus.
