Introducing the District Architecture Center

1 MIN READ

Chances are, if you’re in Washington, D.C., for the AIA 2012 National Convention and Design Exposition this week, you’ve stopped by the new District Architecture Center, which serves as the home of AIA|DC and the Washington Architecture Foundation. The center was designed by local firm Hickok Cole Architects—who won the top two spots in the design competition held last year and provides exhibition, meeting, and event space for the local architecture community.

Located in a storefront space in D.C.’s Penn Quarter neighborhood, the center also provides a place for the non-design community to learn more about architecture in Washington. Stop by and peak your head in later. For now, here’s a glimpse of the new facility.
