Originally designed by German silversmith Christian Dell in the 1930s, the Kaiser idell lamp collection is now offered by Republic of Fritz Hansen. Sold in its original colors (black, ivory, white, red, and dark green), the lamp is available in table, floor, pendant, and wall models, and features an asymmetrical design and a hand-painted lampshade. Kaiser idell lamps are constructed of high-quality steel, and the company recommends lamping the fixture with the Osram Halogen Energy Saver 28–52W.
