The Storefront for Art and Architecture gallery in New York opens a new exhibition titled, “Measure,” on Aug. 13. The exhibition will display 30 drawings by 30 different architects from around the world, and will focus on how the practice of architecture both utilizes and defines new forms of representation and measurement.
“Measure” aims to explore how architects give their own ideas a physical form, while simultaneously trying to keep up with the ever changing needs of urban landscapes. Through drawing as a medium, architects are able to visualize and thus, better grasp the ideas they create within their minds—the exhibition’s intent is to reveal this and more on Storefront’s gallery walls.
“Measure” will be Storefront’s third annual drawing show, and remains on display until Sept. 12, 2015.
Participating firms include, Steven Holl Architects; + POOL; RAAD Studio; Reiser + Umemoto; Selldorf Architects; Nader Tehrani / NADAAA.
