Adapa’s technology helps architects to transform their idea’s to the real curved world by utilizing the adaptive mould technology to reduce cost, wastage and time by creating curved panels. Adapa’s technology works directly with the architect’s 3D model. The AdapaTools plugin on Rhino converts the model to machine language. The machine adapts the shape of the model within less than 5 minutes and requires no physical mould storage – just a memory stick.
The adaptive mould technology is ushering the new age of construction technology by combining robotic mechanisms and machine intelligence by working directly with 3D models and aiding in sustainable construction.

Our adaptive moulds are intelligent and assist the fabricators in accuracy quality and anticipating material warp effects, while keeping an eye on its own mechanical performance.

Controlling the adaptive moulds are quite easy and based on the CAD design file. It is possible to change the desired shape of the final product any time, right up to the time of fabrication.

In many cases our adaptive technology is seen as the next step in automized manufacture of curved surfaces, allowing a substantial jump in fabrication capacity.
