The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced three potential spots for the future FBI headquarters on Tuesday. None are in Washington, D.C., which means that in all likelihood, the bureau will be leaving its Pennsylvania Avenue headquarters in the Charles F. Murphy and Associates–designed J. Edgar Hoover building for a place outside the district. Two of the sites are in Prince George’s County, Md., and one is in Fairfax County, Va.
Here’s a rough map of the three spots. The GSA will next assess the locations under the National Environmental Policy Act, and begin the process of finding developers.
