Each year, the New American Home offers up the latest gadgets, technologies, and residential fashion for thousands of the attendees that tour it during the International Builders’ Show. Increasingly, the annual homes have also focused on sustainability issues, and the 2014 home continued this path. It was designed to meet the National Green Building Standard and operate with a HERS rating of 22. In fact, the home’s planners dubbed it the greenest New American Home in the project’s 31-year history.
