When it comes to high-performance home building products and techniques, remodelers are most likely to use low-e windows in projects, according to the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Remodeling Market Index. In a survey conducted during the first quarter of this year, nearly nine of 10 remodelers surveyed named low-e windows as their top high-performance product, while high-efficiency HVAC systems and programmable thermostats tie for the second-most-commonly used green products. Survey participants were given choices based on the major sections of the National Green Building Standard. Click here to read more about the survey results on NAHB’s Eye on Housing Blog.
