Project Description
The design of the new AMSURG headquarters centers around fostering meaningful interactions among all of the employees of this fast-paced, ever-evolving healthcare company, and the primary mechanism for achieving this is the three-story entry atrium and monumental stair with primary connection points and touchdown spaces just off this central vertical core.
Through the culturally responsive design of their headquarters, AMSURG has seen measurable improvements in employee recruitment, employee workplace satisfaction, as well as increased employee efficiency as a direct result of their embracing a new communicative and collaborative office environment. In addition to their cultural heath and welfare, AMSURG’s commitment to sustainability was paramount to the design for the new headquarters, certified as the largest LEED Gold project for Commercial Interiors in the State of Tennessee, and a certification path was developed that matched AMSURG’s corporate culture and values with LEED strategies focused on health, wellness, and long term benefit.
