Project Description

FROM AIA MARYLAND:
An open, energized, and wired space helps a venerated newspaper reinvent itself as a media and technology company.

Jury Comments:
A restrained palette of materials with striking lines sets the tone for the distinctive Washington Post interiors. The treatment of the upper level ceiling helps break from the building geometry to create bold textures over the somewhat traditional furniture layout. Simple lighting and wall graphics contribute to the overall newspaper theme. The jury appreciated the overall refinement of design detail and clarity of design.
